Music
(Quick review) Purchasing music: Amazon or Rhapsody?
Amazon.com music downloader. This is the best way to download music I have found so far. Purchasing music is simple and easy. The downloader is un-intrusive. No player or subscriptions to worry about. DRM Free music so taking it anywhere is hassle free. Purchase 1 song or 1000 great price, great quality every time. No subscription to worry about and the songs you purchase are your's forever. (Like it should be.) Don't hesitate to visit and start downloading today.
Rhapsody: My experience with this web site was not very pleasant. First you are required to use their player and their bloated downloader for buying music. I purchased 2 songs using free points from a soda company. the first track downloaded with no problem. trying to get the second one was impossible. With no real help available. Then of course there is the DRM factor. Music from Rhapsody is DRM protected so a subscription whether it be free or not is required. But if this seems to be just what your looking for the by all means jump on in.
My recommendation is to use Amazon for hassle free music.

Software
System Restore: OK this is one of the things I am happy to have. Yes at times system restore can be a resource hog but if you are like me and tend to try out a lot of programs then System Restore will quickly become your best friend. Yesterday I tried out a new shell program ( review coming soon) . I like the Vista look but still tend to want my computer more personal and unique. The new program did not play well with Windows Vista causing a little bit of havoc on my computer. I have toyed with the idea of disabling system restore and just using a backup restore program such as Norton Ghost 14.0
but decided to keep system restore active for the ease of returning my computer to it's working state. My recommendations is to keep System restore enabled even if you have a backup plan (which you should).
Palm Centro from Verizon Wireless
Ok I have had my new phone for just over a month now and I love it. Having a phone that does more that just make calls is just what I was looking for. The Palm Centro does a lot It has most of the same features that a cell phone has but with better functionality. The qwerty keyboard along with the onscreen keyboard make texting and entering data a breeze. The 320 X 320 high resolution screen brings all things to life. Having a touch screen is also a major plus. Not having to push keys or numbers to navigate makes surfing the web and using other features a snap. Syncing to my laptop is very easy via bluetooth or usb. I use the centro to tether to my laptop for high speed internet where ever I go so no more looking hotspots or paying McDonalds to surf the web on my trips. I can surf as I travel. There are many programs to download for free or for pay. Palm is supposed to introduce a new operating system here soon so I can't wait to see what more I can do with my phone. I highly recommend getting the palm centro and discovering what your phone can really do. If you want to learn more about the palm centro you can find it at www.palm.com
Desktop Wallpaper
I don't personally use wallpaper on my desktop. What I do instead is use a Windows Sidebar gadget called desktop wallpaper to rotate images in the upper right corner of my screen. (see screenshot here)
