There are many ways to design a web site and just as many programs out there to design them with. Some are free and most are not. Free programs offer a variety of different features but none offer everything you need to complete your design. Paid programs often offer most features and make it easier to build your site but at a very high price. Lower priced programs offer some but not all features. If your interested in some of these programs click here.
This is where the CSS Code Assembler comes in. The Assembler allows you to produce the code you need for FREE. Yes it is not a full WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, But it will help you create CSS Code. It shows you all the options available to create CSS Code It allows you to test your code and once you find your unique design it allows you to copy and paste it into your web page. The program is a little older made back in 2002 but is still a very useful tool to add to your library. Did I mention that it's FREE. If your intested in some learning tools for CSS Code click here.
Another tool is the Color Tester V2. This tool allows you to pick and view all your page, text and link colors. Then after you test your colors it produces the code needed to implement those colors into your web page either in CSS Code or Body tags. Yes this tool is FREE also.
Other projects that are either in the works or on the drawing table are:
CSS Code Assembler V2: In this version all the options will be point and click no more manual entries.
Color Tester V3: This color tester will be more user friendly and easier to see just how your colors will look on your page.
CSS Interactive E-Book: This will be a E-Book designed to teach you CSS Code by example and uses a hands on approach. It will also allow you to use the code you create in your own web pages.
I Can't promise these newer products will be free but I will try to keep them that way. |
